Sharon B Welsh, MSN, ARNP
Sharon Welsh knew she wanted to be in the medical field since she was a teenager.
After she and her identical twin sister graduated high school, Sharon moved to Chapel Hill, North Carolina to pursue a nursing career. Upon graduation from the University of North Carolina, Sharon became a labor and delivery nurse. From there, she accepted and embraced life as a traveling nurse position and ventured across the U.S. for 7 years. It was in 1995 when Sharon relocated permanently to Florida to attend the University of Florida, where she became a Nurse Practitioner. Sharon joined Visionary Woman Care (at Visionary Centre for Women) in 2010. Part of what attracted her to Visionary Woman Care is the progressive and caring combination of interest, medicine and excellence that is evident in each team member and the overall approach to women’s health.
For Sharon, it has been amazing to experience how medicine has changed over the years to provide cutting edge care to women. It is both the advancements and opportunities for quality of life and learning that continue to feed Sharon’s drive to empower and help women be the best that they can possibly be. Sharon happily shares that her decision to continue as a Women’s Health ARNP affords her the opportunity to assist women in any way she can…and does! She is passionate about health and well-being, and will stop at nearly nothing to ensure everything is done for and with a patient to achieve the type of health results desired.
Sharon has been married to her soul mate, Patrick, for twelve wonderful years, and together, they enjoy scuba diving as well as spending quality time with their four-legged yellow lab “baby”, Caesar.
“My goal is to provide excellent, compassionate care to women of all ages, with the intention that it will impact their lives in a positive way.”
